Curated for Zahzo Gallery by Samantha Levin’s Anagnorisis Project, “Dark Signs” is a group art exhibition of works dominated by dark aesthetics.

Introverted and alchemical, Dark Signs is meant to arouse private and powerful emotions from occluded corners of the psyche. Alluding to the Cancer zodiac, the dark constellation of quiet stars, the artwork on view is powerful and protective, daring and sublime.

The artists included, both emerging and well-established, explore various aspects of the exhibition’s theme, delving into the psycho-sexual, inner emotions, animal nature, mad love and fallible memory. With unquestionable technical chops, these artists are known for their ability to manipulate symbolic meaning to evoke and inspire.
