Anagnorisis Picks | December in New York and Philly

Jeremy “Hush” Clark | Joka/Hush dual exhibition at The Toothless Cat/Jinxed Gallery

I’ve been hoping to visit Philly for a while now. Paul Romano has invited me to his studio a million times and I’ve never actually visited Buddy Nestor‘s (a crying shame!). I don’t think I’ll have an excuse not to go down for this exhibit. Anyone feel like joining me for the trip?  If you can’t make it to Philly this time around, Jeremy is scheduled to exhibit at the White Rabbit in March, 2011.  His work is quite divine!

In anticipation of this exhibit, Mz. J. L. Schnabel paid Jeremy a visit to his studio. No surprise – he seems to have a great curio collection of bones, feathers and other old things!

Marion Peck | What You Are, So Once Were We at Sloan Fine Art

It seems like Marion just showed her work at Alix Sloan’s gallery, but I’m not complaining!  The opening reception is on Thursday, December 16th, 6 to 8 pm, and the work will be up until February 5th.  To boot, Marion will be signing copies of her new exhibition book “Animal Love Summer” on Saturday, December 18th, 3 to 5 pm.

Mz. Alix Sloan will have her gallery shut for the holidaze, so no ogling Marion’s stuff between December 20th through January 4th.  Sloan Fine Art is located at 128 Rivington Street (next to an amazing cupcake shop, I might add).

I spy an Elizabeth McGrath exhibition scheduled for Sloan in March!  Mark your calendars!
